Our Story
Founded Al Gore in 2006, The Climate Reality Project works to catalyse a global solution to climate breakdown by making urgent action a necessity across every sector of society.
As of 2025, thousands of Climate Reality Leaders are working to inspire communities in 190 countries to act on climate. To support this network of Climate Reality Leaders, Climate Reality branches exist in strategic regions.
The Australia & Pacific branch of The Climate Reality Project is one of 11 international branches. The team offers trained leaders wide-ranging workshops and leadership opportunities. Thanks to these efforts, more than one in 40 Australians have seen a Climate Reality presentation, helping drive greater public awareness of solutions.
The University of Melbourne hosts the Australia & Pacific branch. We are committed to fostering an environment in which the relationship between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their fellow Australians is characterised by deep mutual respect.
