Community of Practice

Our Community of Practice celebrates our unique perspectives and interests, fostering meaningful connections that inspire progress and lasting impact in climate action.

The lived experience and climate knowledge of our regional network support our collective efforts to reduce emissions, increase climate finance and strengthen international climate action and cooperation as a regional and global network.

The Australia & Pacific branch supports the community of practice by:

Connecting trained Climate Reality Leaders and their networks both regionally and internationally.
Hosting and facilitating virtual and in-person events and workshops annually.
Co-creating resources tailored to the climate needs of our community, to amplify and inspire a groundswell of climate communications, thoughts and actions regionally and in international decision-making spaces.
Celebrating and amplifying the community's act of leadership by sharing their climate stories and campaigns in newsletters, social media and at events.

We are guided by commitments to:

Prioritise the voices of those on the front lines of the climate crisis to understand and explore what it takes to build and sustain healthy communities for all of us.

Foster meaningful conversations online and in-person, focused on solutions that connect community leaders and experts in climate policy, health, and environmental justice initiatives.

Practice deep listening and reflection to co-create and amplify climate solutions that address the evolving needs of our growing community.

Act together to achieve climate outcomes at the local, community, and national levels, while encouraging and supporting one another through a strong collective.

This series is a partnership between The Climate Reality Project Australia & Pacific, the Pacific Climate Change Centre, hosted at the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP), and Melbourne Climate Futures.
