Lisa Blair is an inspiring professional sailor based in Sydney who has just purchased a 50 foot racing yacht, which she intends to sail around Antarctica next year. As a first challenge, Lisa will be racing this yacht in the 2015 Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. The yacht is to be named CLIMATE ACTION NOW and Lisa will be focusing on creating a voice for climate change and on empower people to take climate action now. The Rolex Sydney to Hobart will give her a great media platform to spread this message attracting the world's media and over 600 000 people to the race start. Become a part of the project CLIMATE ACTION NOW by emailing Lisa with your message on climate action. This message will be digitally transferred onto a post it note. These thousands of notes will be collaged together to create a wrap that can be printed on the hull of her yacht. This campaign is designed not to focus on the problem but instead on actions we are taking or can be taking towards a solution. Your messages could be 'I make sure my local MP knows I support climate action', or 'I started an energy efficiency program at my workplace for climate action' or 'I ride my bike everywhere for climate action'. This will have an impressive visual impact, attract media and empower others to take CLIMATE ACTION NOW! We need your messages to make this work so please help Lisa and together we can create a movement of messages and one loud voice. Just imagine the impact that 10 000 post it notes will make on the yacht and the media. That would be 10 000 individual messages on climate action, a very powerful message indeed so please email Lisa your message, share it and lets empower Climate Action Now. To find more detail on this project or to donate please visit www.LisaBlairSailstheWorld.com or https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/climate-action-now-post-it-share-it-embrace-it#/
How to send your message: Email your message to Lisa at lisa_blair@outlook.com, including the words ‘climate action’ in your message if possible (eg. I recycle for climate action) and please try to keep your message to less than 100 words; post it notes are not that big! In the subject line of your email please add ‘Post it message’. If you are happy for us to include your first name and town (to illustrate the reach of this project) then also please add these below your message. Please add a space between messages if you would like more than one post it note on the hull of the yacht. Lastly, your privacy is important to us and we will not be sharing your email or sending you any further information unless you request it.
