Past Projects
Founded in 2006 the Australia & Pacific branch of The Climate Reality Project has been working in partnership with sister organisations to deliver Climate Reality Leadership Trainings and opportunities to act for climate over the past two decades. Explore some past projects below.
Energy Champions TrainingsAs climate change worsens and energy bills spike, communities across Australia are stepping up as frontline leaders, steering their regions towards the opportunities of a renewable energy economy.
Early investment in renewables can save us money, generate good regional jobs, and grow our ability to make a fairer, more equitable society and economy. However, implementing solutions takes courage, and that's why we are training a network of Energy Champions, to help amplify the voices of those who need those solutions the most. It’s not only about getting the facts but about giving people the confidence and skills to advocate for renewables solutions for themselves and their communities. |

Blue Pacific to Glasgow ForumOn the 6th of October 2021 The Climate Reality Project hosted an online forum for Pacific voices to be heard in Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific—and the world—for ambitious climate commitments at the Glasgow COP 26 climate negotiations.
The forum featured former U.S Vice President, Hon Al Gore; Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum, Hon Henry Puna; Fiji Prime Minister and Chair of the Pacific Islands Forum, Hon Frank Bainimarama; and other prominent government and civil society leaders for this Blue Pacific to Glasgow Forum. Key speakers explored the needed outcomes from the critical COP26 negotiations to secure a safe and prosperous climate. |
