​Our 2400+ local Climate Reality Leaders represent a diverse range of communities, sectors and skillsets across the Australia and Pacific region. They undertake frequent Acts of Leadership such as presenting to their peers and communities, and speaking to the media or at large scale public events. Climate Scientist / Founder of OACRI

Pallawish Kumar is a Pacific climate resilience expert, educator, and founder of the Ocean and Climatic Research Institute (OACRI). With over seven years of international experience, he has led over 75 community-based climate and ocean action projects across the Asia-Pacific.

A certified environmental trainer and youth advocate, Pallawish has worked with the United Nations, regional governments, and NGOs to develop climate education, adaptation strategies, and policy engagement. He also serves as a UN Youth Ambassador and academic course developer. His work focuses on empowering communities through science-based solutions, indigenous knowledge, and inclusive climate action for small island developing states.
