Last June when Al Gore was in Australia for the Climate Reality Training, he took a ride out on Sydney Harbour. Lisa Blair happened to be the skipper on the boat, and was inspired to use her passion for sailing to help spread the message of the urgency for action on climate change. In order to be an effective advocate on issues you care about, one of the critical ingredients is understanding your audience. When an issue becomes polarised, as climate change has become in Australia, it's easy sometimes to oversimplify and lump people into a for, or against category.

Recent research has shown however, that people's beliefs and attitudes in Australia are diverse and wide-ranging.

It was 24 Presenters, in 24 Time Zones, 13 Languages delivering 1 Message. 

24 Hours of Reality was a worldwide event to broadcast the reality of the climate crisis, based on a new slideshow developed by Al Gore. Around the globe, a presentation occurred every hour, for 24 hours, in every time zone. People helped connect the dots between recent extreme weather events - including floods, droughts and storms; and the manmade pollution that is changing our climate.
