Watch a world that's forging ahead on climate change

Currently in Australia -- as a nation -- we're not doing enough on climate change. As a result, we're being left behind as a new wave of clean technology emerges, whilst we shirk our responsibilities to a global problem and avert our eyes to impacts that are being felt here and now. Yet, the public's commitment to the solution continues to remain steadfast and true. It's time to remind those that make decisions on behalf of us (namely our politicians) that what they're doing just isn't good enough. This year, 24 Hours of Reality will highlight the progress made by individuals, communities, institutions and governments all around the world, helping to contrast that headway made with those a little slow to catch up. With world leaders meeting in Paris to negotiate a new global agreement on climate change, all countries need to be playing a constructive role in reducing their emissions. When it comes to Australia's contribution, that good old jury is still out!

In moments of great crisis, Australia has a long and proud history of knuckling down and watching TV. This year, each segment will provide another reason we should remain hopeful in solving the climate crisis. Sneak into an empty office, open a lappy on the couch, or take a quick study break and find out how the world is moving on one of the most important issues of our time. Check out the program guide and schedule here.

It's great to be one of the first to know about something brewing and then let the rest of the world know.  If you want to fill others and let them know that the world is watching (last year over 16 million people tuned in; ), here's how:

Climate change won't disappear just because it drops in and out of the spotlight. Now, more than ever, we need our politicians being ambitious, visionary and progressive on an issue that we are already experiencing the impacts of. With the Paris climate talks approaching, a breakthrough is finally at hand.  Let your local politicians know that our current targets are not enough. The world is watching.
